Information Systems Audit Workshop

An Information Systems Audit is an examination of the controls within an Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. An IS Audit is the process of collecting and evaluating evidence of an organization's information systems, practices, and operations.

The evaluation of obtained evidence determines if the information systems are safeguarding assets, maintaining data integrity, and operating effectively and efficiently to achieve the organization's goals or objectives. These reviews are usually performed in conjunction with a financial statement audit or internal audit.

This workshop gives you an introduction on how one should approach an IS Audit assignment. It covers aspects of the IS Audit with respect to operating systems, databases, network architecture and helps participants understand what controls they need to audit; how to do risk assessment and gap analysis and how to submit an audit report as required by the management.
